Fishing Reports

This time of year the water around Flagler County FL. should get more clear making for exciting site fishing for reds but, they will get spooky in the shallow water. Sheepshead fishing picks up and they make for good cooler stackin’. Fickle winter weather can make for some tough days so watch the reports in advance for optimum days when possible. Big black drum are around bridges and deeper holes. They aint finicky and pull like a train. Larger fish aren’t good but, the smaller and medium size are every bit as good on the table as their more popular cousin the red.

Bass fishing will only get hotter by the minute from now till Easter for the monsters Florida is known for. Book your trips early as every guide will be booked solid soon and it’s almost impossible to get bait without advanced notice. Yup, sorry artificial purests the big girls dine on shiners, wild shiners. Crappie fishing has been for the most part steady and real good. Every lake and river are full of the familiar boats easing along drifting minnows and small jigs and spinners.

Good Fishing!
