Daytona area fishing during Speed Week and the Daytona 500 is always busy as the area is flooded with race fans and anglers. Bass fishing has been fairly constant with Rodman Reservoir living up to its reputation as a premier Trophy Bass lake. With the drawdown in full effect there has never been a better time for that personal best. Fish over 6 pounds are common with most half day trips producing 10 to 20 fish. Inshore fishing in Daytona or Flagler and St. Johns Counties has been up and down based on the usual weather fronts and water temps. The reds have gone off this week and the usual winter suspects have showed up…… sheepshead and trout. I do family friendly trips accommodating up to six anglers. Kids welcome!
